I enjoy sewing , I have also found it to be a rather
practical way to keep my family in new clothes that they like . Its not
that I always want to be sewing but , rather that I need to be sewing !
I hope to sometime be able to put a photo up of my recent projects .
Extra CD uses:
Use them to build drop spindles for spinning:
Use a dowel in the center, some hot glue, and a cd. Add
a screw in hook (very small) into the top of the dowel and wind yard on
it and use it. Kids think they make good toys at this point too.
Make angel Christmas tree tops:
I used paper plates (the cheap kind) created a cone shape
and add an upside down glass (cheap pain kind) ornament into in the top
of the cone as a head and use two cd's glued label side together and glue
on top of the head. I sewed a little white dress to go onto the angel and
it looked very pretty. Click Here for complete details!
Make Christmas ornaments:
Glue a child's picture in the center add ribbon. Glue
on a ribbon on the back to hang it by. It is large, so a large tree would
be more appropriate for it.
Keeping birds out of your gardens... Hang CD's
around to shine and sparkle to make the birds think someone is present.
I do not know if this works.
Good luck for finding uses for your spare cd's!
