Scandanavian & International
FolkDance Page

(Please be patient while the images load. Thanks!)

Hello Friends!

The my favorite event within the Scandinavian Dance Community is the Skandia Ball . This is an annual event and the dancers often wear very ornate costumes from the country of their choice. On this page I will post some pictures of my friends at various dances.

The SKANDIA BALL is coming up fast!
Mark November 9th on your calendars.
For more information go to Skandia's website.

Skandia Folkdance Society, Folkdancing.com, Napster.com, Mountaineers Dancing, Audiognome.com
If you are looking for find Scandanavian music to listen to at home try looking into Napster (.com) for good traditional music. Search by music type or song name to come up with so great stuff!

Dancing is EASY and FUN! Go Ahead and try it!
To get started look for a local Mountaineer Group or look in your local recreational activities section of the newspaper. They are usually inexpensive and often have live music to enjoy while doing dances that range from very easy (children's dances) to difficult (very fast) ones. There is a style for everyone from the Celtic to the Scandanavian to the Ukranian to the Macadonian ones. The types of music vary greatly as well as the speed and difficulty.

Here are year 2000 pictures.
(Sorry there are so few new ones.)
